@OpenAI's Developer Day happened and Sam Altman did his best Steve Jobs impression unveiling new modes of ChatGPT and we're (mostly) impressed.
Announcements included huge upgrades to GPT-4 including a much faster GPT-4 Turbo & cheaper costs overall but the biggest shocker were custom GPTs, individualized Chatbots that function like ChatGPT but can be created for a specific purpose. On top of that, they announced a ChatGPT store where users can create these GPTs and (eventually) make money from them all in a low-to-no code environment.
Yes, it's a big deal and it looks like OpenAI has cemented their lead over pretty much everyone else in the space. But there are some red flags here and we get into those as well.
