@OpenAI just took down the Sky voice from the ChatGPT voice app which many people had said sounded an awful lot like actress Scarlett Johannson.
Especially after last week’s GPT-4o press conference where they showed off the new voice model (and it kind of sounded even MORE like ScarJo), the world took notice including even @SaturdayNightLive's Colin Jost, who also happens to be her husband. Heck, even Sam Altman himself tweeted “Her” after the day of press. Sounds like they kinda knew, right?
Will Sky survive to see another day? Did OpenAI foresee this happening? Will Scarlett get a nice check from this? Will we finally get the Gilbert Gottfried voice we’ve been waiting for?
