Google’s Deep Mind just announced the GNoME project which used AI to discover over 2.2 million new materials including 380,000 stable materials that could power future technologies.
AI is often overhyped but this is the sort of advances that we’re going to be seeing more and more of going forward, with this AI doing the 800 years of human work.
When people talk about exponential growth, this is the sort of advances they mean.
