@Apple's WWDC event did not disappoint with the announcement of Apple Intelligence, or as Apple calls it “AI For The Rest of Us.”
Even bigger, @OpenAI's ChatGPT is being integrated directly into iOS 18 for free and Apple will allow users to call upon it anonymously for deeper Generative AI questions.
This is a full blown redesign of everything Apple does with generative AI in mind. From a revamped Siri that can actually do stuff for you, to system wide integrated AI writing tools, to photo search to Image Playground, an generative AI image engine that can take photos of you and turn them into cute little ‘Genmojis’.
They’re also putting a huge emphasis on privacy, with most of these AI tools operating on the local device and then, when it needs to call upon the cloud, it will do so with privacy in mind so that your stuff stays yours (or at least this is what they’re saying for now).
